How to Get Published

Many teachers have great teaching materials that they have developed while teaching a certain course. As these materials are developed and improved over time, the teacher may wonder if the materials could be published. In this talk, we will consider the steps involved from this initial question all the way to the final published product. Topics covered include: how to organize the materials, how to choose a publisher, how and when to contact a publisher, what to include in the proposal that you send the publisher, as well as many other steps in the publishing process. The speaker will go over some of the most commonly asked questions about ELT publishing. Handouts with detailed information as well as publisher contact information will be provided.
