abstract

Many authors have tried to define what leadership is, who leaders are and what they stand for. The definitions vary, as do the qualities of identified effective leaders. In many ways, these qualities differentiate leaders from others in their institutions and enable them to play a significant role in affecting people and change in the institution. Therefore, knowing which qualities are essential for effective leadership is vital.
