INNOVATIVE MATERIALS SHOWCASE

The 2010 Conference is TESOL Arabia's 16th Annual International Conference and as always we have endeavoured to come up with something new and innovative while at the same time retaining all those successful tried and trusted ingredients from previous conferences.

For the second year around, TESOL Arabia is offering a showcase of the latest teaching materials and professional development courses in the conference agenda. As last year we are happy to offer a dedicated strand in our presentation programme running throughout the conference to give publishers, distributors, education establishments etc. a chance to showcase their latest products. In similar international conferences such as TESOL International and IATEFL, such strands come second in popularity and number of attendees after plenary and featured presentations. One of the things that helped in such success was the exhibitors’ tendency to give away free sample of their products.

TESOL Arabia 2010 is announcing an "Innovative Material Showcase" and inviting submissions for consideration. It is open to all companies and institutions, whether they are exhibiting at the conference or not, who would like to promote a particular educational product, range of products, or services, in a presentation. There will be a fee payable of AED 625 per presentation slot, but the presenters of the Innovative Material Showcase sessions will not need to pay either conference fees or TESOL Arabia membership fees.

In order to apply to give such a presentation, all you need do is to download and complete the Innovative Material Showcase Proposal Form and email it to . The conference co-chairs, along with a committee of three active TESOL Arabia members, will select a limited number of proposals for inclusion in the conference programme.

So, to summarise:

• The "Innovative Material Showcase" is a commercial strand open to all companies and institutions with educational products or services to promote, whether they are exhibiting at the conference or not
   
• The fee is 625 AED per accepted presentation
