Work as a Teacher for the British Council in the Middle East and North Africa
We are looking for experienced teachers of English to work for us in one of our 24 teaching centres which are based in 14 countries across the Middle East and North Africa region, from Morocco in the West, through to the Gulf, and Iraq in the East.
Because of the extent of our teaching operations, our teachers gain excellent experience and may gain further qualifications to become world leaders in their profession, as well as the chance of promotion to more senior posts.
The British Council takes the professional develoment of its staff very seriously, so will encourage and support teachers, where it can, to gain further qualifications such as the DELTA and Young Learner qualifications.
As a basic requirement, teachers who work for us must have either a CELTA or a Trinity Certificate in TESOL and have two years' post TEFL I experience, and preferably have a good range of teaching experience from Young Learners to Adults as well as experience in teaching a variety of courses and levels.
