Please note that TESOL Arabia will not be accepting new membership applications, or renewing any memberships, from May 18th, 2008 until September 1st, 2008. We are changing processing companies, and need time to prepare the new forms and procedures for the new company to begin processing membership applications. We would like to invite you to submit a proposal for the 2009 TESOL Arabia Annual International Conference & Exhibition, 12-14 March, 2009, at the JW Marriott Hotel, Dubai, UAE.
The theme of the conference is English in Learning: Learning in English.
Proposals are welcomed from all teachers and educators involved in teaching English as a Second or Foreign language, including those who teach other subjects through the medium of English. This year, for the first time, we particularly welcome submissions from such teachers or educators who use English in the classroom to teach 'content' subjects — sometimes known as 'Content and Language Integrated Learning' or 'CLIL' — as there will be a dedicated CLIL strand running throughout the conference.
While we encourage proposals focusing on the conference theme, proposals focusing on other topics will also be considered. However, all proposals should focus on issues concerning the teaching, learning and use of English.

The Editors of the Proceedings of the 2008 TESOL Arabia Conference would like to invite you to submit a paper based on your presentation at the TESOL Arabia 2008 Conference to be considered for publication in the next volume of the Proceedings.
